The PTSA organized an international luncheon in the gymnasium for teachers on Friday, May 28. The luncheon reflected the diversity of cultures in Peninsula, with foods from a variety of countries.
“The international luncheon is sponsored by the PTSA,” event chair Linda Moriwaki said. “It’s a great opportunity to see the teachers and eat foods from different cultures.”
Moriwaki would like to thank the ESL/Multi Cultural Booster Club, the Chinese-American parents support group, the Korean Parents PTA, and the Japanese Parents Group not only for bringing food but also setting up and cleaning up after the event.
All in all, the event was a success. The teachers enjoyed a tasteful lunch in the gym while the students enjoyed an extended lunch.
